Belinda Smith

Belinda Smith is a sociologist and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Ghana. She is a lecturer and has a strong research focus on the intersections of gender, feminism, and body politics. Specifically, Belinda’s research interests include sociology of the body where she looks at how bodies are shaped and experienced in social contexts. Smith also examines the intersections of crime, justice, and gender. Her other areas of research include analysing the social and cultural constructions of gender and their impact on individuals and society. Belinda’s work also explores the complex relationships and interactions between power, identity, and embodiment in society
