Joseph Manzvera is a multi-award winning applied agricultural economist specialising in action-oriented research for disaster risk reduction and non-market valuation of climate change adaptation strategies, as well as political economy analysis. Joseph has been involved in different interdisciplinary research and development work in East and Southern Africa. In recognition of his research and societal impact, Joseph received various honours and awards, including being named one of the Brightest Young Minds in Africa (2017), an outstanding research award from Zimbabwe’s Research Council (2019), and RUFORUM’s Young Scientist Award (2022). Joseph also spoke and presented at various international conferences on developmental issues ranging from climate services to digital technologies to strengthen climate change adaptation.
