Newman Tekwa is a postdoctoral research fellow at the South African Research Chair in Social Policy, University of South Africa under its new research project, Social Policy Dimensions of Land and Agrarian Reform in International Perspective. His research interests are around issues of gender, transformative social policy, and land and water sector reforms, areas in which he is well published. Currently Newman is a Team Lead for the Anglophone Southern African Cluster (South Africa, Zambia and Mauritius) within the continent-wide Promoting Gender Equitable Social Policy in Africa (GETSPA) project.
