Terri Barnes
An associate professor of History and Gender & Women’s Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the USA. She received her BA from Brown University in the US, and her MA and PhD from the University of Zimbabwe. She was on the faculty of the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa in History and Higher Education Policy Studies for 11 years. She also worked with the Feminist Africa team, which was a wonderful intellectual experience. Her current work is on a history of South African higher education in the apartheid era.
