Dorothy Takyiakwaa

Dorothy Takyiakwaa is a Lecturer in Gender Studies and Urban Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Cape Coast. She is also Researcher at the Centre for Gender Research, Advocacy and Documentation, University of Cape Coast. Dorothy has a PhD in Urban Sociology from the University of Cape Coast where her theses was on migrant integration and associations. Her research interests include African urbanities and urbanisms, migration, social stratification, social mobility, informal networks, gender, sexualities, women empowerment, and the political economy therein.
