Penelope Sanyu

Penelope Sanyu is a lawyer, weaver, creator, designer, nurturer, writer, and scholar who is committed to the questions of how to create spaces for learning, beauty, and healing in the world and how to stand in solidarity with those who need it. She is an artist, mover, activist, organiser, and co-operator.  She is passionate about justice, selfcare, and feminism, and curates open mic sessions where people playfully share the concept of Revolutionary Love. She continuously searches and provides support for emerging leaders – looking and listening for leadership sparks, embracing mentoring young people, and opening pathways to the difficult spaces.  She leads the team at Femme Forte Uganda and Qweshunga.)
