Sylvia Ohene Marfo

Sylvia Ohene Marfo is a food studies scholar and holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Ghana. Her research interest includes but is not limited to the Sociology of food and agriculture and Anthropology of food and eating, especially constructing ethnic identity through foodways. She has extensive qualitative research experience in girls’ education, gender studies, migrate businesses, food, agriculture and labour. She is the Research and Programs Manager for the Union for African Population Studies.
