Corinne Knowles
Corinne Knowles (PhD) is a recently retired Senior Lecturer in the Extended Studies (Humanities) Programme at Rhodes University, South Africa. She also teaches African Feminist Research Methodology to postgraduate students. Formerly chair of the Women’s Academic Solidarity Association at Rhodes, and active member of various progressive staff collectives over the years, she is a social justice activist. Dr. Knowles has a master’s degree in politics, and a PhD in education on the politics of knowledge. Before entering academia 15 years ago, Dr. Knowles was a high school teacher, and an NGO practitioner and fundraiser. She has published academic articles, a book of poetry, written an award-winning play, and has at least two books waiting to be written.
